Dale Bus Service
As part of a national initiative all local bus fares are currently capped at a maximum of £2 for any single journey, and all these services are included in this offer.
Elderly/disabled bus passes are also valid for free travel on DalesBus services 24, 59 and 74, but not – due to North Yorkshire Council policy – service 825.
· DalesBus 59 runs from Harrogate Bus Station at 0945, 1145, 1445 and 1645 every Saturday to Blubberhouses (for Fewston, Swinsty and Thruscross Reservoirs), Bolton Bridge (for Bolton Abbey) and Skipton. Buses return from Skipton at 1045, 1245, 1545 and 1745.
· DalesBus 74 runs from Knaresborough Bus Station at 0905 and Harrogate Bus Station at 0925 every Saturday to Ilkley, Bolton Abbey, Burnsall and Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, paralleling the Dales Way footpath for part of the route. The bus returns from Grassington at 1700 and Ilkley at 1745.
· DalesBus 24 runs every day between Harrogate, Hampsthwaite, Birstwith, Darley, Dacre Banks, Summerbridge and Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale National Landscape. On Summer Sundays the first bus from Harrogate (departing at 1015) connects at Pateley Bridge with DalesBus 821 to Upper Nidderdale & Scar House Reservoir and with DalesBus 822 to Hebden & Grassington.
· Eastern DalesBus 825 runs every Sunday and Bank Holiday until 6th October 2024 from Knaresborough Bus Station at 0955 and Harrogate Bus Station at 1015, running via Ripley, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Galphay, Grewelthorpe, Hackfall, Masham, Jervaulx Abbey, Middleham and Leyburn to Richmond. The bus returns from Richmond at 1515.
